The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) oversees a separate Medical Cannabis Access Programme (MCAP), which provides restricted access to cannabis-based treatments for specific conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and chemotherapy-related nausea. This programme is entirely separate from over-the-counter CBD oil sold in health stores and online.
